Hand forged Patterns

Our collection of hand forged patterns is unmatched in the world today. Available only in sterling silver, the cutlery is made by our artisan craftspeople, who deftly create each piece by hand using methods that have remained essentially unchanged for centuries. The designs are exquisitely detailed and each item is meticulously hand-finished to produce elegant, enduring pieces that will adorn tables for generations to come.

Pierced Chased Vine

This richly ornate handmade pattern is from a design by Francis Higgins for the great Exhibition in 1851. Each piece is carefully pierced and chased to give the impression of interwoven vines whilst retaining weight and strength.

Elizabeth

This pattern is decorated in a Romanesque style. The design incorporates shells and scrolls from which depend on trails of husk. The reverse is similar but has a plain inscription shield.

Rose

This pattern is quintessentially English featuring the Rose. It is hand forged and to create such definition requires heavy silver sheet which is cut to size for each piece. The skill of the craftsman ensures balance and finesse as each piece is fashioned individually.

Bright Vine

This is a dignified pattern with shell and foliage top surrounding beautifully modelled vine leaves and grapes.

Onslow

Originally designed for a 5 x speaker of the house of commons. This scroll and pistol cutlery takes skill and knowledge of a silver maker to produce.

Princess

Elegant and simple leaf foliage and scrolls form the boarder of this pattern.

Coburg

A brilliantly detailed Regency period pattern first made about 1812, and much favoured by Paul Storr, the celebrated London Silversmith.
