This month marks a significant milestone as British Silverware proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Founded in September 2005 by Jackie Tear, our esteemed owner and Managing Director; British Silverware has a proud heritage of excellence in the art of handmade silverware. Based in Sheffield, we have cultivated a global reputation for delivering only the highest quality products, recognised for their craftsmanship and elegance.

Jackie embarked on her career in the silverware industry in the 1980s at Thessco Ltd, part of the Solpro Group. As a pivotal member of the management team, she played an instrumental role in leading British Silverware into private ownership in 2005. Today, Jackie leads a dedicated team of artisan craftspeople who take pride in supplying high-end handcrafted silverware to a discerning global clientele. This includes major retail brands, blue-chip organisations, sports and event organisers, private individuals, and more.

We proudly offer some of the world’s most distinguished silverware products and brands, along with high-end ‘white label’ solutions for the trade. Each item is meticulously crafted in our Sheffield workshops, employing traditional techniques that have been preserved for centuries. Our commitment to individuality means that each piece is unique and hand-finished with care, standing in striking contrast to today's mass-produced offerings. Our bespoke range features an exclusive selection of cutlery, tableware, trophies, medals, salvers, jewellery, and one-off commissions tailored to our clients’ desires.
