At British Silverware, our team of skilled craftsmen and women always relish new commissions.

The challenge of taking a design concept from the drawing board through the manufacturing process to the finished product is always exciting.

Arriving at the finished product may involve problem solving of the commissioned piece through various stages of the manufacturing process but these challenges are always discussed and solved by our team throughout production to ensure that each commission is produced to the client's satisfaction but most importantly to our own exacting standards.

Thai Trophy
The Thailand Football League commissioned this trophy for the National League of Thailand

Military Figure
This commission was created for a client using only an old photograph as our reference. It was finely sculptured and then cast and finished in-house. The mobile phone in the photograph shows the scale of the finished item and the fine detail obtained in the sculpting.

Sterling Silver Globe
This sterling silver globe was produced in-house. The continents were hand engraved and gold areas were applied highlighting several countries that were of significance to the client.

Sterling Silver Caviar Table
This magnificent caviar table was a bespoke commission made from silver with gilding and crystal glass inserts. It measures one metre in diameter and has a silver weight of 40 kgs.

The table was produced in-house by our team from the casting of the fishes for the central column; to the scrolled feet of the circular table; to the 24 individual pieces that were also cast to make up the outside band of the table. We then gilded the various parts of the table and the bowls and also sourced the removable Crystal glass inserts.

The University of Manchester Mace This commissioned item was made for the nearer to home market. The forming of the new University of Manchester was the trigger after the merger of the university of Science and Technology and The Victoria University of Manchester. The mace was commissioned for the official launch of the new university. It is a fine example of the combination of sterling silver with applied gold and enamelling.

Mounted Royal Dragoon Guard
An exclusive sculpture created for the Royal Dragoon Guards. It is presented to officers as a wedding gift.

Cake Stand
This cake stand has ten tiers and stands 150cm tall. It was commissioned for the Sultan of Oman.

This commission is a working model of mineral crusher that is used for making bronze powder.
